COMMUNITIES FIRST TRUST FUND
What is the Communities First Trust Fund? The Communities First Trust Fund is a source of funding to support any type of activity that involves local people in Communities First areas through small community organisations/groups that benefits their community.
How much money is available? £20,000 is available per year throughout Neath East a maximum of £5,000 is available per project. Those thinking of applying for a grant from this fund are advised to apply as soon as possible, whilst money remains available for the area.
What sorts of activities can be funded? The activities funded need to provide an economic, environmental, cultural or social benefit for people in the community. Examples of activities funded by the Trust Fund include money towards the costs of equipment for small groups in the community such as sewing clubs, art & craft groups, new 'kit' for local sports clubs, funding for cultural/social trips, money towards office equipment for local voluntary groups etc. Find guidance notes here.
